Seeking Tree Films in collaboration with Lucia Michelutti, Professor of Anthropology at UCL, is producing and directing an ethnographic documentary that explores the nature of divine kinship, in the Braj region of India, and its resilient power in establishing regional, and national forms of sovereignty. It focuses on the cosmology of the polity of Rani Mata Nari Semri, the tutelary deity of the local Jadon Thakurs, residing near Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.
